Come celebrate the close of our 2026 season on Monday, October 26th from 6-7:30pm at our Red Wine Pizza Party where our friend Ben Keough will be making pies and we’ll be opening some special reds from our cellars.
Thank you, everyone!
Our 2026 season is officially over! It’s been a fantastic one with an especially abundant harvest this year. We hosted dozens of y’all across fifteen events in the vineyard and cellar.
In the vineyard we pruned, harvested grape leaves and made dolmas. We hosted harvest parties, learned when and how to bottle our vintages, and we made wine together.

In the cellar we tasted American and Japanese hybrid wines, went on a road trip from LA to Austin, drank some of the world’s last bottles from extinct wineries, and explored rosés and Rieslings.

Wines from Domaine Nakajima, Chateau Kiri, and Fattoria AL FIORE that we shared at last month’s Japanese Hybrids tasting.
Our 2027 season will open Sunday, April 4th, 2027, with a pruning party in La Cienega Vineyard and a tasting event on Monday April 26th. See you there!
What are your hopes and dreams for our next season?

More evidence that terroir (the concept that wines have a perceptual sense of place) exists! And some older AI news: it can “taste” wine.
A late spring frost in Virginia was brutal for yields in the 2026 harvest, except for those who planted hybrids. “Expect fewer bottles of some favorite whites, more blends and unusual wines born out of necessity.”
Food & Wine recently published a guide to wineries near Colorado’s national parks featuring several hybrid wines.
🥂 Cheers!
