How to get involved

Our season runs from April through October across several vineyard and cellar sites across Santa Fe.

Join a work party

Our work parties take place at different sites throughout the growing season and are free to attend.

We begin at 9 a.m. with a brief observation walk to notice what’s unfolding in the vines, then move into a few hours of hands-on work, wrapping up by midday.

Each gathering includes a shared lunch with wine from the vineyard.

The rhythm of our work follows the seasons: pruning vines and maintaining vineyard infrastructure in the spring, weeding, suckering, and training vines in the summer, and harvesting grapes in fall.

Take a workshop

Throughout the season, we host a handful of workshops for those interested in learning the traditional crafts yoked to the vineyard — grape leaf preservation for making pickles and stuffed grape leaves, garage winemaking, grapevine wreathmaking, and vinegar making.

Workshop costs vary. Half of each tuition fee goes directly to the workshop facilitator(s), and the other half sustains the ongoing work of the collective.

No one is turned away for lack of funds.

If you’d like to join a workshop and need a little help to do so, drop us a note — we’ll find a way.

Those who have more to give are invited to contribute a little extra when registering, helping keep our table open to all who wish to join.

Come tend with us

  • Do you have a small-scale vineyard within an hour or so of Santa Fe you’d like to invite us to tend?

  • Do you have an abundance of wine grapes or apples you don’t want to see go to waste but cannot personally harvest?

  • Are you someone with specialized knowledge or unique approaches to viticulture, winemaking, fermentation, or food preservation and are interested in sharing those skills?

  • Do you have other ideas about how we might work together? Interested in supporting our work but not sure how?

We’d love to hear from you.
